Keith wished for an adventure Saturday morning. Andrew and Leah had checked in about their drive to Hilton Head, asking about stopping for dinner and an overnight at the house. Olivia sent beautiful photos from her rustic morning running in the Adirondacks. And Sam was puttering around Framingham. Keith wondered how it was that we were home taking care of cats and chores. I suggested we time our usual walk around the river with the predicted arrival of the squall. VoilĂ ! Adventure!

You can see the squall in the distance, about 15 minutes away.
The squall hit just as we began to cross the Maynard Street Bridge.
Within minutes the fierceness of the storm was breaking.
Snow-dusted trees by the river.
About 10 minutes after the squall.
River still roiling after rains and ice break-up 2 days before.
