The “last day hike” took us over the trails and hills just outside our door —4.5 mile— to clear our heads and fill our spirits with calm and quiet.

I’m sure we could spend years exploring all of them.

He picks me up when I fall down, like this morning.
I slipped on loose scree and sat down hard. It knocked the wind out of me and made me tear up for minute, but I clambered to my feet.
