Keith: What would you like to do today?
Me: Have an adventure.
It was 17° when we set out, the sun was bright and the sky was blue —the brilliant blue that seems to only come with January’s deep, dry chill.
Mostly we were quiet on our 5-mile trek, listening to our boots squeak in the powdery snow. When we did chat, Keith shared some ideas from a book he’s reading: The Language of God by Francis Collins. These ideas fit perfectly into the morning and environment we were trekking through.
We also discussed some plot points from the movie we watched last night: The Irishman. —what a story that told!
All-in-all a perfectly amiable morning to be out enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.

I let them be.

I unzipped my coat on the walk back, the sun was warm.
