In high school it took me 3 years to pass the 12-minute mile running test. When I turned 50 I cheered on my daughter as she ran her first half marathon —it looked like fun. She encouraged me to lace-up and run by signing me up for the Navy 5 Miler in Washington, DC in …

Feeling seen and heard. I asked for a t-shirt gun, and I got a t-shirt gun. 🙂 Wishing family and friends much laughter and love!
12.23.21 We hike every day in Sedona.🏜
The “last day hike” took us over the trails and hills just outside our door —4.5 mile— to clear our heads and fill our spirits with calm and quiet.

We hiked Cibolla Pass to Jordan Trail, then on to Soldiers Pass to Brins Mesa. Temperature was in the low 60s. Not too many people out. Truly, a picture perfect day.

This morning’s sunrise hike fell right into the “hale and hearty” category. Andrew and Sam sprinted to the top of the mesa at 6:30 a.m. I was happy to bring up the …
We. Are. Back.
A Sunday morning hike. Keith injured his leg in March 2021 during maple syrup season. Hauling 5-gallon buckets of sap through 18+ inches of accumulated snow damaged his Achilles tendon. Know what’s tough? Healing your Achilles tendon. At first he tried to keep running, hiking, walking —and most likely injured it further. After completely resting …
